Being a Senior Citizen I am very concerned and interested in making my home and surrounding area as safe as I can.One of the first things that I have had to do is convince myself that I am a Senior Citizen and should act as one.There are many new rules that have to be made, such as no climbing, and this was a hard one for me, so I purchased two kinds of grabbers, you know those things that you stand on the floor and reach up and grab things over your reach. Of course I had the usual Bar installed in the Bath Room so that I could hold on to getting in and out of the tub and got the alarm that goes by my bed that I can press for help at night. I also made a survey of my house and made sure I didn’t have rugs or other items that I could stumble over. I had keys made for my family as I keep my doors locked most of the time and as we grow older our hearing is not always so good or they may need to enter in an emergency The main thing that Seniors have to understand is that they are not always as fast, sure footed. alert and steady on their feet as they once were and just have to slow down a bit and enjoy their new position in life.
