The Difference Between Monitored Home Security and Unmonitored
April 29th 2011
Home thefts are quite common in almost all countries across the Globe and this happen more in the urban and suburban areas as there is more concentration of wealth there. In the present economic downturn when unemployment rates are at their highest, desperation is driving people to resort to crimes to survive.
Homeowners have various options when thinking of safeguarding themselves against burglaries. The most preferred one is monitored security system. In such a system, professionals install security alarms at strategic places thereby creating a perimeter wherein they are triggered when burglar tries to break in thereby attracting your as well as neighbor’s attention.
Somebody (you or your neighbors) will surely call police to resolve the situation. But there is another option in this, wherein the monitoring company immediately calls the police on getting alerted by the alarm system installed at your house. Due to the false alarms triggering panic situation, these monitoring companies usually allow few minutes time to the residents to alert them about any false alarm.
The unmonitored security system also works similarly wherein alarm system creates a perimeter within a residence. Once some burglar breaks in, alarms will start drawing attention of neighbors and house owners. Somebody will call the police in the meantime for resolving the situation. These systems are less expensive than monitored security systems.
